How we run things here at Beta Flux.
Welcome to Beta-Flux. By creating an account or using our chat server, you agree to these basic community rules. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the service.
1. Who Can Use This Server
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the legal minimum age in your home country) to create an account.
- You are entirely responsible for keeping your password secure and for any activity that happens under your username.
2. Community Standards & Conduct
We are a gaming community, but don't be a jerk. You explicitly agree not to use Beta Flux to:
- Violate any local laws, promote illegal activities, or share dangerous content.
- Harass, bully, threaten, or systematically dox other players or staff members.
- Deploy malicious spam bots, raid public chat channels, or run automated scraping scripts against the node infrastructure.
- Exploit, hack, or attempt to compromise the security of the Beta-Flux client or backend server.
3. User Content & Backups
- You Own Your Stuff: You retain full ownership of the text, code snippets, and image uploads you share in the chat.
- Hosting License: By posting content, you grant us a minimal, free license to process, store, and display that media within the client so you and your friends can actually see it.
- No Guarantee of Storage: This is a community-funded project. While we run routine server maintenance, we are not a permanent cloud storage service. We are not liable if data is lost during a server migration or standard database work.
4. Staff Authority & Account Termination
- The staff team at the Official Beta-Core Server maintains complete authority over community moderation.
- We reserve the absolute right to temporarily mute, kick, or permanently terminate any account at any time, without prior notice, if you violate these terms or disrupt the gaming environment.
5. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
- Beta-Flux is provided completely "as-is" and "as-available" without any warranties of any kind.
- As this is a volunteer-led project, the community organizers and server hosters are not legally or financially liable for any service interruptions, software bugs, data losses, or disputes that happen between users in the chat channels.
6. Adult Content (NSFW)
Beta Flux maintains a strict ban on all adult and sexually explicit material. To protect minor users on the platform, all NSFW content is subject to active monitoring and immediate removal. Offending users will have their accounts disabled without warning.
Automated monitoring occurs via Beta Core's own 'SkyNET', the platform's automated system. To uphold privacy, SkyNET does not actively monitor DMs. If you are a victim of NSFW content in a DM, report the message and a member of staff will handle the problem within 24 hours.
- Note: Reporting a DM will temporarily allow a staff member to view a limited amount of messages from all participants in the DM to conduct their investigation.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may occasionally tweak these rules as the community grows or the underlying platform changes. If we make big changes, we will drop a notice in the #announcements channel or post a alert inside the client settings.
