We run Beta Flux because we want a clean, privacy-respecting space to game and hang out. This policy explains exactly what happens to your data when you use this node. It is designed to comply with UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and South Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
1. The Data We Actually Collect.
Because we are completely self-hosted, we don't buy, sell, or trade your info. We only process what is required to make the chat app work:
- Account Info: Your username, password hash, and email.
- Chat Content: Your text messages and image uploads. This data is stored locally on our server so you and your friends can see your chat history.
- Server Logs: Our server temporarily logs connection details like IP addresses. This is strictly used to block DDoS attacks, stop spam bots, and keep the server stable.
2. Why We Process It
Under UK and EU laws, we process your information based on:
- Contractual Need: We need your username and password to let you log in and use the server.
- Legitimate Interests: We look at server logs to protect our community from bad actors, cheaters, and spammers.
3. Data Storage & Deletion
Beta-Flux stores what its users post:
- No Third-Party Sharing & Integrated Services: Your messages and account details never leave this server. We do not use third-party marketing cookies or advertising tracking SDKs. Note: If you interact with embedded external media links (like YouTube videos or Twitch streams), those third-party platforms may apply their own cookies according to their respective privacy policies.
To protect and entertain our community, we integrate the following necessary third-party components:
- hCaptcha (Security): We use hCaptcha to block automated spam bots and prevent platform exploitation. It temporarily evaluates technical data (like browser setups and connection metadata) strictly to verify human interactions.
- KLIPY (Media Embeds): We integrate KLIPY to allow the usage of interactive media and GIFs. Interacting with these external media embeds may query their network nodes according to their respective privacy terms.
- Your Right to Clear Out: You own your data. You have the right to view, change, correct, or delete your account information at any time.
- Immediate Destruction: If you delete your account, your profile data is immediately wiped from our live database. Residual message data in automated server backups is overwritten on our standard backup cycle.
4. International Access & Data Transfers
This server is hosted in the United States. If you are logging in from the UK, EU, South Korea, or anywhere else, your data is transferred directly to this server location to run your chat client. By creating an account and participating in our community, you acknowledge and consent to this cross-border transfer necessary for performing our service to you. We implement strict access controls to keep this cross-border data secure.

If you want to request a copy of your data or ask us to manually wipe something, reach out to the community team by pinging a Beta-Flux Staff member in the Official Beta-Core Server. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you feel your rights are violated.
